Here I am in lovely Quincy, MA, located in the South Shore area, about 15 minutes south of Boston and it is currently 29 degrees outside.
I landed on Wednesday night and was excited by the light snow that was falling which added an extra dusting to the snow that was already on the ground. The layers of clothing that I had on worked perfectly for comfort on the flight and handling the new cold facing me outside. The coat that Sarah loaned me added the extra protection that I needed, and is super cute (of course) – I was also wearing one of several new hats that I picked up recently…hats covering the ears are the key for me.
So, after getting off the plane, Sean picked me up and we went in search of some food. We landed at the Main Street Grill - one of the local Weymouth haunts and home to one of the best Salmon dishes that I have ever had. Sean’s friend Kurt is the “mayor of Main Street” and graciously helped us get a booth when we arrived to to find the place packed. Dinner was perfect, as expected and after a bit of winding down and a glass of wine, or two, we headed out to the hotel to get settled in.
There is so much more to be said, but I have been on the computer for a while and am in need of a break. We have plans tonight to go to a private party hosted by The Dejas - a great musical duo that Sean has been working with for the last few months.
More to come in the next few days – no pictures to share just yet, but hopefully that will change soon.
Sounds like a great time! Have fun!
